Solar Foam™ spray polyurethane foam (SPF) is superior to fiberglass because it is environmentally-safe ... but that's not all.

30 percent of heating and cooling loss is due to air leakage through the house envelope, especially rim joists. Fiberglass batt insulation will not seal the air leaks, but Solar Foam™ insulation molds to fit every nook and cranny, even around pipes. A home properly insulated with Solar Foam™ closed cell foam insulation can save you up to 40 percent on energy bills. Compare that to a home insulated with fiberglass insulation, with a savings of only 20 percent.

Solar Foam™ SPF reduces fossil fuel consumption and does not contain formaldehyde or ozone-depleting chemicals.

It provides structural support for your home, and can help make it more soundproof. Our SPF provides a moisture barrier while reducing drafts, mold growth, pollen and dust, even pest infiltration - and it helps you stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter!

Solar Foam™ insulation typically pays for itself in the first three to five years, but the upfront cost of spray polyurethane foam is typically two to three times more expensive than fiberglass. But because SPF helps HVAC equipment work more efficiently, it typically saves homeowners 30 to 40 percent on heating and cooling costs. Plus, SPF can assist your home in attaining the Energy Star® rating.
